Back to Blogging

After quite some time micro blogging. This blog is now back with a backend in Scala using PubSub, more specifically a PubSubHubbub and a front end in ReactJS hosted on AWS.

If that didn't make sense to you there will always be more photos! I will post more soon including how all of this was setup, some food I ate and a selection of new photos.

Enjoy!

'08 hols in Kiel, Copenhagen, and Sweden

Currently I am on holidays in Sweden after seeing friends in Kiel. In Copenhagen it was impossible to dial reverse charges to Australia and using a public phone is like watching money disappear quick. In Gotenberg, Sweden they have just made the only way to pay for a ticket on the bus via SMS. It didn't work for me with my NL SIM. But these are the only problems in what has been a great holiday so far. Copenhagen had lots of galleries and chic cafes, restaurants and shops. The best was seeing a jazz band spontaneously play on the canal outside the Royal Palace. Gotenberg had not as many galleries but the Albrecht Drurer etchings where amazing. Both cities had lots of bike paths and parks.

Much more on Kiel and these Swedish adventures soon...
